Meet Michelle!
Artist
Born an artist, I have been creating art all of my life. I graduated with my undergraduate in Painting and psychology in 2010.
I work with all materials, including natural, recycled, and household items. My current favorite artistic process is mixed media (drawing, painting, and dried plants.)
Art Therapist
Furthering my education and learning, I graduated with my Masters in Art Therapy with an emphasis in Counseling in 2015.
I have worked in homes, senior citizen care facilities, schools, a community daytime shelter for the unhoused, private practices, and a psychiatric hospital for 11 years.
I work from a trauma centered, multicultural lens where I follow the client's direction of self-exploration.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness practices.
Group Facilitator
I enjoy creating art with groups of people because I believe in the collective energy and collaboration of many to create a safe space where healing can happen.
